Our Mission...
School Counselors are an integral resource and asset for our schools and community. Our mission within the Pine Hollow Middle School Counseling department is to support our school community by providing a high quality, comprehensive counseling program which aims to assist students through academic, career, and social/emotional programming. This will allow our students to develop a positive sense of self, practice valuable life skills, become responsible citizens, and strive to be lifelong learners.

  • All students will have access to high quality school counseling services, provided by a full-time licensed, professional School Counselor.

  • Some social/emotional counseling
    • **Please note: We are NOT therapists. If your student needs long-term individual therapy, you must bring them to a professional therapist outside of school. We are happy to provide recommendations should you need any. 
  • Consult and collaborate with students, parents, teachers, administrators, psychologists, and social workers
  • Respond to school crisis/emergency situations
  • Provide resources to parents/guardians for a variety of situations and needs 

**School Counselor Confidentiality Statement
As professional School Counselors, our goal is to maintain strict confidentiality with students and parents at Pine Hollow Middle School. All meetings held with the School Counselors will remain confidential unless the student or parent gives permission to share information with related parties. However, circumstances do arise when we must disclose information to appropriate professionals based on California State Law and Mt. Diablo Unified Schools District Policy. Reasons for breaking confidentiality include the following: student in danger of harming self, student in danger of harming others, or student in danger of being harmed by others. This information will be reported to building administration, and possibly to outside support agencies if applicable, in accordance with school policy and state law.
